Pendleton, OR – Blue Mountain Community College (BMCC) has partnered with BibliU to enhance its Inclusive Access (IA) program—delivering affordable, day one digital course materials alongside a refreshed online store experience. BMCC phased out its physical bookstore several years ago in response to shifting student shopping habits. Looking to stay proactive and fiscally responsible, while continuing to promote school pride, the college recently turned to BibliU to modernize its course materials strategy. BibliU stood out for its ease of use, dedicated support, and ability to improve access, streamline operations, and enhance the student experience.
With BibliU IA, all required materials are integrated into Canvas and delivered digitally on the first day of class, eliminating the need to navigate multiple vendors or platforms. Students benefit from features like in-text annotations, highlighting, customizable views, text-to-speech, and flexible access across devices. Costs are bundled with tuition, removing financial barriers and ensuring every learner is set up for success from the start.
In addition to streamlining course material delivery, BibliU will power a 24/7 digital storefront featuring textbooks, supplies, and BMCC-branded merchandise. This elevated e-commerce experience supports the entire campus community and fosters Timberwolf pride.
As more institutions adopt flexible academic calendars—including quarter systems, mini-mesters, and rolling start dates—first-day access to course materials is becoming increasingly critical. With compressed timelines, even short delays in receiving content can impact student success. BMCC’s move to BibliU ensures that every learner, regardless of when they begin, has immediate access to required resources.
“We’re excited to partner with Blue Mountain Community College to deliver a streamlined, cost-effective solution for course materials through our Inclusive Access program,” said Dave Sherwood, BibliU CEO and Co-Founder. “By ensuring first-day access to digital resources, we help students focus on learning without financial barriers. We’re also proud to support the college with an e-commerce site, giving students, faculty, and alumni an easy way to show their Timberwolf spirit. At BibliU, we’re thrilled to join the pack and work alongside BMCC to enhance the student experience and drive success.”
“At BMCC, our top priority is supporting student success by removing barriers to learning. This partnership with BibliU allows us to provide affordable, seamless access to course materials from the very first day of class. By integrating directly with our learning systems, we’re empowering students to stay focused, engaged, and on track—without the stress of tracking down textbooks or falling behind.”— Dr. Jeanne LaHaie, Dean of General Education & Academic Support.
Through this partnership, BibliU and BMCC are reinforcing their shared commitment to affordability, ease of use, and student success—helping learners focus on their education instead of the cumbersome logistics of securing course materials.
