NEW YORK and LONDON – March 14, 2023 – BibliU, the EdTech innovator democratizing content accessibility, is pleased to announce the appointment of Misty Frost to its board as a non-executive director, as it reaches the milestone of onboarding the one-millionth user of its Universal Learning solution. BibliU’s digital-first Universal Learning can lower college textbook costs by up to 50% and improve student outcomes, providing affordable and available content on the first day of class.
Frost, a former CEO, board member, and advisor to high-growth companies, strategically empowers companies to build and sustain lifetime product relevance through a keen understanding of global consumer needs and expectations. Under her leadership, these companies have experienced 20% to 30% year-over-year growth.
“Misty’s track record in advising companies in their transformation from tech start-ups to billion-dollar companies is critical to our evolution,” said Dave Sherwood, BibliU CEO and co-founder. “She is well-positioned to help advance our expansion strategies. With her guidance, BibliU will continue on its path to become a unicorn in EdTech.”
“I’ve been involved with Bibilu as an advisor for a couple of years now, and it’s been fantastic to see its growth firsthand,” said Frost. “I’m particularly excited to assist with BibliU’s continued U.S. expansion, as it has a unique EdTech offering that answers a clear market need.”
Frost has extensive global experience at a senior executive level. She was most recently CEO of Penn Foster, a digital learning solutions provider, after it combined with online healthcare training provider Carrus in 2021. Prior to Carrus, she was SVP of global marketing at Instructure, makers of Canvas, helping to evolve the company from a private start-up to a publicly traded business valued at over $1 billion. While at Instructure, she improved sales generation by over 20%.
Over her 25-year career, Frost has served as the VP of Delivery Services for Datamark and has worked in a variety of client advocacy roles for global brands including Intel, Nortel Networks, Hyatt Hotels, and Disney. She currently serves on the board of directors for Galileo Learning and as an advisor to Logikcull and the Empirical Educator Project. Frost is also an active member of the Women Tech Council and CHIEF, a group dedicated to developing women’s executive leadership.
The BibliU Universal Learning solution is helping to make a difference in the lives of college students. BibliU experienced a landmark 2022, highlighted by a fundraise of $15M in Series B and a 150% growth rate year-over-year.
