WARNER ROBINS, GA — Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) has partnered with BibliU to transform both its campus store operations and course materials strategy. With this move, CGTC becomes the first institution in the Technical College System of Georgia to implement BibliU’s combined digital content and retail solution.
In partnership with BibliU, CGTC is creating a more consistent, student-centered experience across its Warner Robins, Macon, and Milledgeville campuses, while paving the way for innovation system-wide. The decision was driven by widely-shared institutional goals: lowering textbook costs, improving service, and building a financially sustainable model that supports student success at scale.
CGTC’s decision reflects a growing shift in how technical colleges approach affordability, service, and financial sustainability. Moving away from a traditional course materials delivery model, the college will now ensure all students receive required content on day one through BibliU’s Equitable Access program—delivered via Blackboard, for a flat fee. This simplified pricing ensures the most convenient access to course materials while significantly reducing costs. On average, BibliU’s flat fee model results in a 49% cost savings when compared to traditional print materials.
The partnership also introduces a fully managed, modernized campus retail operation. Physical store spaces at all three CGTC locations will be refreshed, complemented by an integrated online platform offering branded merchandise, supplies, and student essentials. The transition boosts operational efficiency, supports institutional revenue, and simplifies the student experience.
